RSP Takes a Green Step: Tree Plantation Drive

On 2nd September 2026,the Road Safety Patrol students of Std. VIII, under the leadership of Captain Aarush Mankar, organised a Tree Plantation Drive in the Don Bosco High School, Matunga Campus, on 2nd September 2026.

As part of this community service initiative, the students brought their favourite plants from home and actively participated in planting them on the school campus. The activity helped students understand the importance of protecting and nurturing plants. They were encouraged to take responsibility for their respective plants and care for them regularly, thereby learning about survival, growth and responsibility.

The activity was also connected with the values of the Road Safety Patrol, as a clean, green and safe environment contributes to safer and healthier roads and communities. Through this initiative, students learnt that road safety is not limited to following traffic rules but also includes caring for the environment and contributing positively to society.

The students learnt the correct method of planting and thoroughly enjoyed getting their hands into the soil. The activity was an enriching experience that promoted environmental awareness, teamwork, responsibility and community service among the young Road Safety Patrol members.
