A class event on the topic “Communication” was successfully conducted on 30th January 2026 for the students of Sr.KG. The event was thoughtfully designed to help children understand the importance of communication in everyday life and to introduce them to different ways of expressing ideas and feelings.

The students participated with great enthusiasm and confidence. Creative props were prepared by the students with support from their parents, using simple and innovative materials. The children presented various means of communication such as letters, mobile phones, newspapers, television, radio, computers, books, video calls, and face-to-face communication. Each child spoke a few sentences about their assigned topic, which helped in building speaking skills, confidence, and clarity of expression.

In addition to verbal communication, special emphasis was laid on non-verbal communication through an engaging Emotion/Emoji activity. Using popsicle sticks, the children created and displayed different emotional faces such as happy, sad, surprised, and smiley. Through this activity, the students learned how emotions and feelings can be expressed without speaking, helping them understand the power of facial expressions and body language in communication.

The event encouraged creativity, self-expression, and active participation among the students. It also helped them develop social skills, emotional awareness, and effective communication abilities in a joyful and interactive manner.

As a continuation of learning about different means of communication such as television, radio, telephone and computer, the children were introduced to visual communication. The teacher explained that communication can also happen without using words or devices, by using facial expressions and actions.

The children participated in an activity using an emotion stick with happy, sad, angry and love faces. The teacher narrated different day-to-day situations, and the children responded by showing the appropriate face. This activity helped children identify and express their feelings, understand emotions, and learn the importance of non-verbal communication in daily life.

Overall, the class event was informative, meaningful, and enjoyable, making it a memorable learning experience for the students.
