The Primary Section of Don Bosco High School celebrated the month of February with great enthusiasm through a series of engaging and enriching ‘Happy Saturday’ activities. Each Saturday was thoughtfully planned to provide students and staff with opportunities for learning, bonding, and holistic development.
7th February, 2026 – Annual Thanksgiving Day
The month began on a grand note with the Annual Thanksgiving Day Function. The school campus was beautifully decorated, creating a festive atmosphere. Students from Std I to IV showcased their talents through vibrant dance performances, melodious songs, and meaningful skits. The event highlighted the creativity, confidence, and teamwork of the young Boscoites.
14th February,2026 – Staff Picnic
The second Saturday was dedicated to the hardworking staff members with a joyful Staff Picnic. It was a day filled with relaxation, laughter, and camaraderie. The teachers participated in fun games, shared delicious meals, and strengthened their bonds outside the classroom environment. The picnic rejuvenated the staff and fostered team spirit, ensuring they returned with renewed energy and enthusiasm.
21st February,2026 – Educational Field Trips & Cleanliness Drive
Std I – Traffic Park, Colaba
The students of Std 1 visited the Traffic Park at Colaba. The field trip was both informative and enjoyable as children learned about road safety rules, traffic signals, and responsible pedestrian behaviour through practical demonstrations. It was a wonderful hands-on learning experience.
Std II – Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya
Std II students explored the renowned Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya. They observed fascinating historical artefacts, sculptures, and exhibits that enriched their understanding of India’s heritage and culture. The visit sparked curiosity and encouraged experiential learning beyond textbooks.
Std III & IV – Cleanliness Drive
The students of Std III and IV actively participated in a Cleanliness Drive within the school campus. Equipped with hand gloves and large blue garbage bags, they responsibly collected litter and ensured the surroundings were neat and tidy. The activity instilled the values of civic responsibility, teamwork, and respect for the environment, reinforcing the message of cleanliness and sustainability.
28th February,2026– Science Exhibition (Std I to IV)
The month concluded on an intellectual and innovative note with a grand Science Exhibition. Students from Std I to IV presented creative and informative science models and experiments. The exhibition showcased their scientific thinking, curiosity, and presentation skills. Parents and teachers appreciated the effort and originality displayed by the young learners.
The Happy Saturdays of February were a perfect blend of celebration, education, and social awareness. Each activity was designed to nurture confidence, creativity, responsibility, and teamwork among students and staff. The month truly reflected the vibrant spirit and holistic approach to education followed by the Primary Section of Don Bosco High School, Matunga.
