Guided by Faith: Growing in Love
Guided by Faith: Growing in Love
By Mrs Nicolette D’Souza
Class XA conducted a meaningful and inspiring assembly on the theme "Guided by Faith, Growing in Love" to mark the beginning of the Academic Session 2026–27. The programme commenced with a prayerful meditation, inviting everyone to reflect and prepare themselves for the new school year. The students then presented a thought-provoking skit that highlighted common challenges faced by young people, such as academic pressure, peer influence, fear of failure, learning from past mistakes, and the importance of kindness and service. Through powerful dialogues rooted in faith and values, the skit encouraged students to trust in God, embrace new beginnings, and become a positive influence in the lives of others.
The assembly was enriched with soulful singing, graceful dance performance, and an energetic band presentation, all of which complemented the message beautifully. The singers, dancers, and band members played their parts with great enthusiasm and confidence, making the programme engaging and memorable.
Addressing the gathering, Rev. Fr. Orville congratulated the students of Class XA and their class teacher for presenting such a well-planned and well-executed assembly. He spoke about the importance of punctuality and encouraged everyone to develop discipline from the very first day of the academic year. Referring to the beautifully designed backdrop featuring a hot air balloon, he shared that just as a balloon rises higher after letting go of unnecessary weight, students too should leave behind their bad habits and negative attitudes so that they can soar to greater heights in life. The assembly concluded with a renewed sense of hope, purpose, and determination as everyone looked forward to a fruitful and successful academic year.
