On 27th August 2026, a one-day retreat was organized for the Religion students of Grades 5 and 6 at Don Bosco High School, Matunga. The spiritual event provided a reflective environment for the students to deepen their faith outside the regular classroom environment. The encouraged personal reflection, built communal bonds, and helped students discover practical ways to live out their faith in their daily lives.

For the Grade 5 students, the retreat was conducted by Fr. Jaswin, who focused deeply on the theme "The Eucharist – God’s Great Party!" Fr. Jaswin explained that Holy Mass is an open invitation from God, emphasizing that Jesus Himself is fully present in the celebration. The students actively engaged with the symbolism of elements like candles and water, as well as the liturgical objects used during the Mass. Through these reflections, they discovered that Mass is an active, communal journey where they learn to gather, listen, offer, receive, and go forth to share God's love.

Fr. Rudolph conducted the session for the Grade 6 students, centering the discussion on the deeply relatable theme, "Jesus Is My Friend." Through an interactive presentation, Fr. Rudolph prompted the students to consider what makes a truly good friend, highlighting that Jesus perfectly embodies these qualities by listening without leaving anyone out, forgiving unconditionally, encouraging, and knowing everything about them.

Bringing all these central teachings to life, the retreat beautifully concluded with a Holy Mass celebrated by both the fathers, Fr. Jaswin and Fr. Rudolph. This final celebration allowed the students to immediately put their learning into practice, coming together to actively participate, receive Holy Communion, and commit to going forth into the world.
