English Elocution Competition – Std. I and II

The English Elocution Competition for the students of Std. I and II was held on 12^th September, 2026 in Fr. Joseph Casti Hall. It was a delightful celebration of young voices, confidence, and expression. The little speakers stepped onto the stage with great enthusiasm and presented their chosen pieces with remarkable confidence and charm.

Each participant brought their own unique style to the competition. The eminent judges of the competition were Ms. Lynette D’Lima, Mrs. Kanta Shinde and Ms. Ruki Jadhav. The judges carefully evaluated the children on various aspects of effective speaking, including expression, intonation, voice modulation, clarity, pronunciation, choice of poem and overall presentation. It was heartening to see the young participants use appropriate pauses, changes in pitch, and facial expressions to bring their words and characters to life.

The stage came alive with their lively voices, expressive gestures, and confident performances. Every child made a sincere effort to captivate the audience, making the competition both engaging and enjoyable. The event was not merely a competition but a wonderful opportunity for the young learners to overcome stage fright, develop communication skills, and express themselves with confidence. The performances reflected the enthusiasm, creativity, and growing confidence of our budding orators. Mrs. Kanta Shinde congratulated the participants and remarked, “The students spoke with great confidence.” She advised them not to rush with their poem.

The little voices may have been small, but their expressions, confidence, and spirit made a big impact. The competition concluded on a cheerful note, leaving everyone with smiles and a renewed appreciation for the power of spoken words. The winners were awarded with certificates by the judges.  The competition truly provided an opportunity for the young Boscoites to express themselves effectively.
