DOUBLE DELIGHT FOR DON BOSCO HIGH SCHOOL, MATUNGA AT THE MSSA NATIONAL SPORTS DAY HOCKEY TOURNAMENT 2026.

Don Bosco High School, Matunga, celebrated a remarkable double victory as both the Under-12 and Under-14 Hockey teams emerged champions at the prestigious MSSA National Sports Day Hockey Tournament 2026 – Major Dhyan Chand Cup, held on 29th August 2026.

The Under-14 final against St. Stanislaus High School was a thrilling and fiercely contested encounter. Don Bosco took the lead with the first goal, but St. Stanislaus fought back to equalise. Our boys once again surged ahead with a second goal, only for their opponents to level the scores through a penalty stroke.

With the score tied at 2–2 at the end of regular match duration, the championship was decided through a tense tie-breaker. Don Bosco scored the crucial goal, while our outstanding goalkeeper produced a brilliant performance, saving all the strokes taken by the opposition. The final score stood at 3–2, sealing a memorable victory for Don Bosco!

Adding to the celebrations, our Under-12 team also emerged victorious, making it a proud double win for Don Bosco.

We beat St. Stanislaus with a score of 3-2.
