"AT HIS WORD, IN HIS TIME": Class Assembly of 10D

By Mrs. Sushila Britto

Don Bosco High School: With the theme "At His Word, In His Time," the students of Class 10D presented a meaningful and captivating skit. Led by their class teacher, Mrs. Sushila, their countless hours of hard work paid off as they received a deafening round of applause. Not only was the assembly a great success, but it also helped the students bond and get to know one another better.

The skit revolved around a young entrepreneur named Ethan Vance and his business partner, Mark. While Mark was a man of deep faith, Ethan relied solely on his own abilities. Their company, Providence Timepieces, was about to launch its newest luxury watch, the Aethelgard Classic. Ethan wanted to skip the legal patent checks to launch the product as early as possible. Despite Mark's advice to seek God's blessings and guidance, Ethan believed he did not need God's help.

Soon, Ethan discovered that he had been sued by Kronos International. He felt he had lost everything—his company, his finances, and his future. Left only with debt and Mark's words of encouragement, Ethan finally turned to God in prayer. Trusting in God's guidance, he chose to speak the complete truth in court, and his case was dismissed. Thereafter, Ethan and Mark decided to rebuild their company, this time with God as the true head of their business.

At the end of the skit, the Rector, Rev. Fr. Godfrey D'Souza, appreciated the performance and its powerful message. He further reflected by saying, "Even the owners of the Titanic claimed that nothing—not even God—could sink their ship. Yet, in the end, all it took was the tip of an iceberg scraping its side." His words reminded everyone of the importance of humility and trusting in God.

The highlight of the assembly was the Principal, Rev. Fr. Flovi D'Souza, appreciating all the students for their sincere efforts and outstanding performance.
