A Rare Diamond: Class 6A’s Tribute to Ratan Tata
“None can destroy iron, but its own rust can; likewise, none can destroy a person, but his own mindset can.” – Ratan Tata
On 12th August, Class 6A presented a thought-provoking and inspiring assembly on the life of Ratan Tata, based on the theme “A Rare Diamond in the Heart of Gold.” The entire class had practiced diligently for days, and their hard work shone through in a flawless performance.
The hall was beautifully decorated, with a backdrop displaying the flags of India and portraits of eminent personalities such as Ratan Tata, Jawaharlal Nehru, and Mahatma Gandhi. Parents played a valuable role in preparing the dialogues, refining the script, and even assisting with dance rehearsals.
The class teacher guided the students into a brief meditation, creating a calm and reflective atmosphere before the performance. The narrators, dressed in suits, confidently led the audience through Ratan Tata’s inspiring journey — from his humble beginnings, to his commitment to philanthropy, and his unwavering determination to build something meaningful for India. The audience learned about his generosity, his humility, and how he never sought fame despite his remarkable achievements.
The dancers performed with grace and energy, captivating everyone present. A special highlight was the concluding song, displayed within the “Heart of India” backdrop, dedicated to Ratan Tata. The performance moved the audience and truly reflected the spirit of the theme.
Father Principal addressed the gathering, praising the flawless execution of the programme. The audience appreciated the efforts and dedication of the students.
Daily after-school practice sessions and the ability to adapt to last-minute changes played a key role in the success of this event. This assembly not only celebrated Ratan Tata’s contributions to India but also left students with a deeper understanding of the value of service, humility, and purposeful living.
