BELIEVE IT OR NOT: It is a miracle of Boscoites!! 'Don Bosco students of Matunga, Celebrated a 'Milap 2010', after a time lapse of 29 years - THE BATCH OF 1980-81. It is a miracle because the Spirit of Don Bosco Gathered them, who were scattered all over the world, to enjoy the revived child-hood bondage built in the portals of Don Bosco, Matunga, at least for two days. There were 110 past pupils out of 250 of the batch and 25 teachers of the time, who held a fellowship reunion on 24th and 25th of July,2010 at CITRUS HOTEL in Pune. They chose this day being 'Guru - purnims' to express their gratitude and pay homage to their gurus. It was a packed programme minutely and elaborately planned and executed by a Core committee of TEN members and coordinated by other Boscoites. Br. P.M.Thomas was specially invited to witness the fruit of his labour during his tenure as the Principal at that time. They showered their teachers with Momentous, Sweets, Compliments, two days of hospitality in a five star hotel and what not! They even gave a individual gift of L.C.D. -T.V. and video set for their entertainment. They Sang together, danced till day - break and showed their achievements and above all reinforced their bondage of friendship and Don Bosco spirit. It was a rare treat to watch. They announced the formation of CORPUS FUND with an initial investment of rupees ten lacs. The objectives of this Benevolent scheme consist of : a) To help the members of 1980-81 batch who need financial help. b) To provide financial assistance to teachers of Don Bosco, Matunga, in time of their ill-health and sickness. c) To offer financial help in the form of Fee and scholarship to deserving pupils of Don Bosco school, Matunga, to persue their studies at school level as well as collage stage. They have Resolved to make this GROUP AND ITS CORPUS to be a catalyst - group to carry on the spirit of Don Bosco and contribute for the progress of the country in a small way. What a spectacle of fine specimen of enlighten Don Boscopupils!! We congratulate them and acknowledge their grateful spirit. It was a family reunion as emotions exploded like Tsunami but without any calamity. Rightly Br. P.M. Thomas qualified it as "History in Education Field" JAI HO DON BOSCO AND JAI - HO THE BATCH OF 1980- 81 PUPILS!!

Don Bosco Past Pupils’ Association The much awaited Christmas tree party this year for children was held on December 20, 2009 at 4.00 pm onwards in the Don Bosco primary School hall. The Don Bosco Past Pupil Association committee members did their best to arrange this Christmas party for the children up to nine years. Parents were also invited free of cost along with the children, where 200 children along with their parents. We had also arranged to invite the desolated / orphanage girls from “Anmol” of Auxilum Covent School, Wadala who had also participated in this party. The children thoroughly enjoyed the games that were organized. They participated whole heartedly to compete for many spot prizes. An hour long magic show got them engrossed and excited. When Santa Claus made his entry, all the children were delirious with joy. There was frolic, laughter and gaiety throughout. Santa Claus presented each and every children with chocolates and gifts and also danced with the crowd, which the children loved very much. Santa Claus was the most photographed person as many children waited in queue to get their gifts. Christmas carols were played throughout the party. The children enjoyed themselves completely and wished to come next year again and also bring their friends to enjoy this party and specially the magic show, the delirious snacks, cold drinks followed by ice-cream with the gift and prises.
We the Don Bosco past pupils had celebrated Fr. Bosco D’Mello our principal’s birthday at past pupils office which happens to be also a good day as St. Don Bosco feast also falls on this day.
